Installation old version

    I tried old version dBSD-1.7 on Samsung laptop. It is Installed without problem but operation system do not find any network cards (wired/wireles). Can somebody help me?

    probably they are not supported. find what cards it is, find what freebsd version this version of dBSD is based on and compare hardware compatibility list, whether it contains your hardware

    How did you manage to get your hands on this old release???

    I also had this release on DVD and I through-it away NOT thinko]ing that DesktopBSD was reviving! (darn-it) :(

    Ohhh well I am still very excited that we have hope!

    Thank you very much......I actually have the ISO saved in my External HD...and running as I am writting via Live session.

    I am experiencing the same problem...is not detecting any wireless or ethernet network....see if this works per the GhostBSD wiki:

    I'm looking forward to the new version of DesktopBSD. DesktopBSD was safer and more convenient than the PC-BSD, I compared them about 5 years ago.
